Job Description
What does a Digital Marketing Specialist do?
This internship is designed for a motivated Houston-area university student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing. Working closely with the Digital Project Managers and Digital Specialists, the intern will support paid media campaign execution across platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and others. This role offers structured training, mentorship, and exposure to real client work across entertainment, arts, sports, and nonprofit industries.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, curious, and proactive intern who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating in a fast-paced environment, and learning how data drives digital strategy. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re excited to develop practical digital marketing skills and contribute meaningfully to campaign success.

This unpaid internship is for academic credit only. Interns are expected to work 20–30 hours per week, with a schedule that can be tailored around your class commitments.
Specific Duties

Assist with the setup and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms

Collaborate daily with digital team members to ensure seamless campaign execution

Monitor campaign performance and help identify optimization opportunities

Support analytics and reporting deliverables by gathering insights and preparing summaries

Organize and track assets required for campaign launches

Learn and apply digital marketing principles, tools, and best practices

Professionally represent and be an advocate for Strike Marketing and its clients

Complete all other duties and projects as assigned
Required skills and knowledge

Currently enrolled in a 4-year university program in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (Houston-area university required)

Strong interest in digital marketing and paid media

Familiarity with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or similar tools (experience a plus, but not required)

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Analytical mindset with a desire to learn how to interpret campaign data

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
